How to download your tracks onto a PC (see below for Applemac users)? Once you have completed your order you can download your tracks immediately. A download icon (a small blue square) appears to the right of your screen. Click on this icon once and you will be directed to the download page. Please do not click on the icon several times as you will use up your downloads. You have 3 attempts for each track. A window should appear with 3 options, Open, Save or Cancel Always choose 'SAVE' and we advise saving to your desktop. A drop down menu will appear when you click on 'save' with locations to download to e.g. 'desktop', 'my documents' etc. If this does not appear right click your mouse, choose 'save as' and 'save' to your desktop. What if I don't want to download my tracks immediately? You have 14 days to download your tracks before the link expires. All customers are sent a confirmation of order email from Backing Tracks Online. At the bottom of this confirmation email underneath your name, address and order details there is a link in blue to access your downloads e.g see below http://www.backingtracksonline.co.uk/default.asp?p=11&oid=18601&t=tbdXVWyaZ9yB Click on the link and it will take you to your downloads. Please note once you have completed your order and left the site you can only access your downloads from the link in your confirmation email. I haven't Received an order Confirmation with a link to my downloads? Contact us if you have not received your order confirmation and we will send you a link to your downloads. If you have a Hotmail, AOL or Yahoo account, please allow the address orders@backingtracksonline.co.uk Can I download my tracks from another computer? Yes, you can download your tracks from any PC. Just sign in to your email provider e.g. BT, Aol, Hotmail, enter your password and download your tracks as instructed above. Please be aware that if you place an order from work a company firewall may prevent you from downloading. This is often the case with Schools and Colleges! You will have to access your downloads from another computer. I have followed the download instructions and nothing happens, What do I do? If you click on the download icon and nothing at all happens, this is usually due to your 'Firewall' settings. Check your firewall settings, McAfee, Norton, AVG etc and try again. My tracks have only downloaded part way, Why? If you download doesn't complete 100%, this is usually due to your browser settings. Check your browser settings and try again. Or perhaps you are on a dial up connection and not Broadband? If so you can successfully download tracks with a dial up connection but it is quite slow and might seem like the download isn't able to complete! Downloading for Applemac users We recommend using Internet Explorer rather than Safari or Tiger if you are on 10.3 or above. Click on the download icon (sometimes it doesn't seem like anything is happening but it is actually downloading). The file will download as a .asp, and then start playing in the browser. Once the file is fully downloaded (and the player window in the browser is open), using the 'file' menu you can then 'save as', which then saves the file as a quicktime movie. The user must then change the extension to .mp3. Ideally, We suggest using ITunes as your music player rather than Quicktime (Quicktime is a movie player and not a music player) Quicktime will not save your track as an mp3 but as an Aiff.If you have any problems please contact us and we can send the tracks by mp3.
